The R&D team at Chainalysis is inspired by solving the hardest technical challenges and building products that establish trust in cryptocurrencies. We're a global organization that thrives on challenging work and doing it alongside exceptionally talented teammates. Our industry evolves rapidly, and our mission is to build a flexible, AI-driven platform that automates entity resolution, optimizes data labeling pipelines, and creates predictive models that identify illicit patterns before they escalate. Our data and solutions have been used to solve some of the world's most high-profile criminal cases and grow consumer access to cryptocurrency safely. Now, by pairing the industry's most trusted blockchain data with agents that reason, investigate, and act, we help our customers scale their workflows as the cryptocurrency economy becomes increasingly mainstream. Chainalysis data has helped solve some of the world’s highest-profile criminal and national-security cases and made it safer for people everywhere to access crypto. The Global Intelligence Team produces the attribution at the heart of that data — connecting on-chain activity to the real-world entities behind it, across the global crypto ecosystem. It’s the intelligence data moat beneath every Chainalysis product, and what investigators, sanctions authorities, and national-security agencies rely on to follow the money and disrupt threats. Few threats test that mission harder than North Korea and China. Through Lazarus Group, the DPRK has stolen billions in crypto — via exchange and DeFi hacks and IT-worker schemes — to fund its weapons program, then laundered it through mixers, cross-chain bridges, and Chinese OTC networks. China, in turn, sits at the center of global crypto money laundering — from guarantee marketplaces and underground banking to scam compounds, fentanyl vendors, and cartel-linked laundering. The two are deeply intertwined, and making that activity visible on-chain is one of the most conseq

You will inherit this reality — and the authority to shape it. This is a role for a hands-on, senior security practitioner who wants to shape a security function, not just run one — someone who thrives in ambiguity, makes high-stakes strategic calls with incomplete information, and can do the operational work themselves while orchestrating a deliberate external provider stack. Although we are looking for a strategist, you will also be required to support day-to-day security operations. Your Day-to-Day Strategy & Program Ownership (≈ 40%) Lead our approach to the upcoming ISO 27001 re-audit. Assess the situation, make the strategic recommendation, and own the execution. We're building the AI-native operating system for renewable installers. And we're looking for ambitious builders who want to learn fast, take ownership, and make an impact from day one. This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Berlin. What makes this internship different Your work directly impacts how renewable energy gets deployed You'll ship production code used by real customers You'll work closely with experienced engineers, product managers, and founders You'll own projects instead of shadowing others You'll see the full lifecycle: idea → implementation → customer feedback No busy work. No "intern projects" disconnected from reality. Just building, learning, and shipping. What you'll build Develop product features across our React, TypeScript, and Node.js stack Turn complex business workflows into simple and intuitive user experiences Work on AI-powered workflows that help installers sell and deliver renewable energy projects faster Contribute to backend services, APIs, and internal tooling Debug, improve, and optimize production systems Collaborate closely with product and design to bring ideas to life And if you're eager to go deeper: Work with databases and PostgreSQL Learn about system architecture and scalability Explore AI integrations and automation workflows Take ownership of larger features end-to-end This is not a typical internship. It's a playground for builders. You'll thrive here if you... Love building things and seeing them used by real people Are curious and learn quickly Prefer ownership over detailed instructions Enjoy solving problems, not just writing code Care about creating great use
